A Day Off

Pick it up, drop it, pick it up, drop it, pick it up...that's about where we're at right now...it's like fetch for babies (or fetch for mommies)!!  But anyway--had a nice visit with Mom today on my "day off"--even got the chance to go down to the mall alone where I was able to do so much being unattached to anything...returned pants, tried on new glasses at two places, tried on and bought a couple of much needed bras, did a few quick walk throughs in stores where I just don't feel cool enough to shop, and finally talked with the mall marketers who try to recruit "models and actors"--yes, I talked with them on purpose...maybe Keller can pay for his own college if he plays his cards right *wink*---just had to look into it...my baby is just as cute as any of those other babies in the sale flyers...we'll see how much money you have to fork over to get involved in that madness.
Tomorrow we get to go to a birthday party that we tried going to last weekend but we were a week early apparently...which was fine because then we just came home and Trav got to go to his Saturday Jiu Jitsu which he will miss tomorrow instead.  Gotta love the whole rushing to get it all done and out of the house and then realizing you didn't need to leave the house at all.  I remember reading the 30th on the invitation, but feel like the 30th should be Memorial Weekend...I think that's where I went wrong.  But anyway.  If I was cool I would have posted something about that as a "status update" on Facebook, but alas, couldn't be bothered.
Soccer game tomorrow.  I enjoy playing when I have a relatively decent game.  I hate playing when certain teammates give me grief for sucking.  It's either I play or else you play with no subs or with players down...and I only suck sometimes, so there!  Tomorrow I'll be a superstar!  I scored my first goal in like three years a couple of weeks ago.  That's pretty good:)
What else.  Glasses.  Had an eye appointment last Friday.  This eye appointment was an unofficial "second opinion" because the last time I went to the Dr. like a year ago, he told me I needed to get bifocals (again...I had them for a few years a while back but eventually told the Dr. that I never looked through the bottom part when I read so he said I'd be just fine without them so haven't worn them since I lived in New Haven)...anyway, I didn't like his prescription so made a new appointment with a new Dr., an official ophthalmologist who said my prescription is fine...wait...I typed this already didn't I?  I guess I don't need new glasses, I just need to eat more blueberries (for improving memory)...Sorry.  But I tried on some glasses today...think I'm going back to plastic, although I've liked my metal pair, I just think I need a little more style again...I need some kind of a pick-me-up, that's for sure...I'm feeling rather blah looking...New glasses, earrings, a haircut, updated wardrobe...that should do it...I better get started on all that!  I'm quite happy with my husband and child still, so won't be looking into changing those parts of me any time soon;)
