Okay, okay, I'll finally post something. I've been in a lazy-blogger-funk, but not just when it comes to blogging, maybe just lazy-person sort of thing. Been feeling not so great so haven't been up to doing anything, no less update all of the MASSES who frequent my blog with utter curiosity for the goings on in my ever-so important life.
So setting the stage. I sit on the couch, Bo lies on the rug, which if I wasn't lazy I would photograph so you could see how crooked it is, one corner folded upward onto a chair, the other corner under the couch. Oh, and when said rug is crooked, so too is coffee table which is on the rug. We bought a new rug in early January, but never got around to the no-skid pad to go under it so when Bo has his power surge at about 5 in the afternoon after our walk, he tears back and forth through the house, sqeaky toy in mouth and slides across the rugs, kitchen floor, entryway, etc. It's amazing how fast he can get himself going in such a small area. It's a good energy release for him I guess. Makes me laugh and shake my head at him. Amazing there's never any harm done. So yeah, the bathroom rug too is all bunched up against the wall...
He's also started this barking thing when he doesn't feel as if Travis or I am giving him enough attention. At first I thought it was because he wanted to go out, but now I've learned otherwise. I'm not a big fan of the bark so we're working on having him quietly bring us his toy when he wants to play. He's unfortunately two toys down at the moment: the rope-pull toy he just eats and swallows the string so that's off limits. The rubber ball that you put special treats inside was great fun for awhile until he mastered the art of breaking the treats to get them out rather than bouncing the ball for them to fall out naturally...Trav tried to make it last longer by putting a bigger treat in that wouldn't "bounce" out and it kept him good and busy for awhile until we realized that he effectively removed a whole piece of the rubber from the bottom of the ball to get to his treat. Poor guy. He was only doing what any dog was supposed to do. No more treat ball though. Maybe the easter bunny will bring him a new one...His Kong ball thing that you put peanut butter inside is MIA. Probably under a couch somewhere. When I'm not so lazy I'll help him find it. And yesterday, Mr. Squeak, the favorite toy ever, wasn't squeaking. It was so sad because Trav said, "Go get your squeak" and he went and got it except it was just no fun. It's usually good and annoying. Lucky (for Bo) Trav was able to bring the squeak back...Phew!
Also, LAST LAST weekend, Trav, Bo and I went up to Maine with my sister and her crew for the long weekend. We just kind of poked around a little. Jill and Lenny go up there regularly as their little respite and they found a dog friendly house with several bedrooms so we stayed there. Bo went for a swim when he went to the beach with Trav, Lenny (brother-in-law) and Tahoe, their dog. When Bo came out of the water, he quickly icicled up apparently. He also got to hit the playground and try out the slide, too! Lucky dog!
Here's some pics: Oh bah humbug...Google's not working this server thing so I can't add pics...maybe later, but I'll submit the post anyway...
